"Curb Appeal is
Everything™"
Perma Flex Paving System:
Perma-Flex® is an asphalt paving system designed to make restorations on large
asphalt repair areas more economical than general repair work. It is not a cure
for all asphalt repairs and will not work in all cases. Asphaltic cement, graded
AC stone and asphaltic concrete are applied over existing broken pavement. The
asphalt cement helps hold the broken asphalt together and cements the stone to
the existing pavement. The stone then wedges itself into the cracks to help
prevent further movement and the resulting excessive cracking in the asphalt
topping. The asphalt topping then bonds the entire system together, adding
structural strength, providing a smooth riding surfaces, and bringing you to
your desired curb appeal!!
1. Potholes or areas that are extremely broken shall be patched by standard
method.
2. The entire area shall be cleaned using brooms and power blowers.
3. Asphaltic cement (grade CRS2H) shall then be sprayed at the rate of .2 to .4
gallons per square yard.
4. Approximately 1” of Perma-Flex® shall be installed using a machine power
spreader. This application is usually installed about 1’ off of the curb line.
This is done to help “feather” in the asphalt so there is not a resulting 3” lip
between the two.
5. The Perma-Flex®is then rolled with a 3 to 4 ton vibrating steel wheel roller
until sufficient compaction has been achieved.
6. 1” of Type F or G (topping) is then mechanically spread over the Perma-Flex®.
7. The topping is then rolled with a 3 to 4 ton steel wheel roller until
sufficient compaction is achieved.
8. Any debris shall then be picked up and hauled off property.
9. Traffic shall not be allowed on newly paved areas until asphalt has cured
sufficiently so as not to mark or scuff under vehicle traffic.
